JOB TITLE & JOB CODE Job Title (Job Code): Safety Assurance Engineer (Project or Program) (EN-RA-06) PURPOSE OF THE JOB Perform the activities (under the governance/guidance of the PSAM) related to safety assurance in the Projects and Programs (products and systems). Activities can be related to Project, System, software, hardware domains ORGANISATION Organisation structure (job belongs to..) Signalling Safety organization Regional Center (RC) within Project Engineering organization (Project) Development Center (DC) within Program (system & product) development organization (system & product development) Reports directly to: For Project: Regional Center Safety Manager For Program: Development Center Safety Manager Other reporting to: Functional reporting to PSAM of the Project or Program Direct reports: N/A Network & Links Internal Project / Program Safety Assurance Manager Project or Program Core team (PM, PrEM, Architect,V&V, Installation, T&C…) Engineering Metiers (Hw, Sw, System, V&V, …) Quality & Internal Safety Assessors Signaling Safety network External N/A MAIN RESPONSABILITIES Key accountabilities: Deliver/perform Safety analysis under the guidance of the PSAM, with the strict application of process as per Signalling Safety Instruction Participate to the elaboration of the Safety Reports and the Safety Case under the guidance of the PSAM Apply the safety assurance methodologies (risk acceptance criteria, safety analysis, verification and validation) defined for the project / system / product Attend periodic Safety Reviews Support actions contributing to close the findings of the assessors (Internal or External) Performance measurements: KPI SAF 001 - No "NO GO" for Safety reasons in Gate Reviews KPI SAF 002 - Assessment Findings: Low rework due to External / Internal Assessments KPI SAF 003 - Safety Findings: Quality of the inputs KPI SAF 004 - Late Safety Requirements Identification Safety reviews OK Respect QD of the deliverables as per PSAM guidance Compliance to process (through Inspections, …) MAIN REQUIRED COMPETENCES Educational Requirements Mandatory: Advanced University or Engineering degree English operational in reading and writing for technical documentation Desirable: System, Electrical, Electronics, Electromechanical engineering knowledge Hardware and/or Software knowledge Experience Mandatory: Can be a beginner in safety but depending of the domain specific experience is required on System, data preparation, Hardware or Software domain Desirable: Some knowledge of Cenelec Standards for Safety (or equivalent standards if needed: AREMA, IEEE, etc ) For complex projects/programs 2 years successful experience in safety assurance Competencies & Skills Structured and organized Fast learner Resilient Rigorous You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us.
