Position Overview: We are seeking a Linguist Analyst to serve as a pivotal link between our Linguistic Operations team and the Technology team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in analyzing translation data, managing client feedback, and ensuring seamless communication between different departments. Key Responsibilities: Provide timely translation services to the Technology team. Interface between our Linguistic Operations team and Technology team, facilitating effective collaboration. Process client feedback regarding our A.I. translation tool, ensuring timely responses and resolution of issues. Manage and prioritize tasks using project management tools such as Jira, ensuring efficient handling of tickets and tasks. Conduct in-depth translation analyses, focusing on linguistic nuances. Provide insights and recommendations based on linguistic analysis to enhance translation quality and accuracy. Collaborate with the Technology team to implement improvements and updates to the A.I. translation engine. Ensure adherence to Modern Standard Arabic typographical rules and standards, maintaining consistency and quality in translated content. Demonstrate understanding of A.I. and neural networks, contributing to the enhancement of our machine translation tool. Assist in the development and refinement of translation engine models, with a focus on phraseology and linguistic patterns. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as linguistics, translation or a related discipline. Excellent academic credentials in semantics. Proven experience in translation, particularly English to Modern Standard Arabic, with a keen eye for detail. Profound familiarity with Modern Standard Arabic typographical rules and standards. Understanding of the legal, financial and government industries. Strong analytical skills and the ability to perform contrastive analyses of translated material. Understanding of the mechanisms underpinning A.I. and neural networks, with the ability to collaborate effectively with Technology teams. Proficiency in project management tools such as Jira. Excellent understanding of translation memories and term bases. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex linguistic concepts clearly. Ability to organize and manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
