Job Title : Construction Project Manager Location: #20 Rd 19, Maadi, Cairo, Egypt. Company: Sanford Federal, Inc. Job Type: Independent Contractor Salary: Competitive J ob Description/Scop of Work: Sanford Federal, Inc. is seeking a Project Manager to lead a federal contract. The intent of this contract is to perform a daily site inspection, guidance, and observation for the Maadi Villa 20- 19 complete renovation for the main building, the axillary building and the perimeter fence. The scope of the required construction oversight shall include the safety verifications, materials approvals, schedule follow up, technically inspection, quality assurance and review invoices. Responsibilities : Review and analyze material samples, catalogs and brochures, shop drawings, installation manuals, and other technical documents submitted by the construction contractor for conformity with construction contracts requirements. Prepare written reports, incorporate comments and changes, and provide recommendations and alternatives for appropriate action to the project Contracting Officer Representative in a timely manner. Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, and other reports of the progress of construction including digital photographic records as required by the project COR. Prepare correspondence and other reports as required by the project COR. Provide quality control for civil, architectural, mechanical, and electrical work activities in the assigned construction project at DATT House at Maadi area to monitor and evaluate the construction work through field observations and inspections and the review of quality control reports to ensure contract compliance and proper standards of quality are achieved. Provide oversight and technical support for the team. Serve as the first point of contact to answer engineering questions. Update and monitor contractor construction schedule, review, and proposal for change in construction or methods for time implications. Submit recommendations to project COR including recommending the amount of time extensions that are justified by the change. Perform complex site inspections to verify design and check the surrounding area for impacts. Inspect completed developments ensuring the accuracy of the construction and verifying as-built drawings. Assess the construction contractor’s ability to achieve the required standards of construction and advise the project COR of potential deficiencies and possible remedies. Ensure that materials are being stored and handled in accordance with contract documents and are in acceptable condition at the time of installation. Evaluate the contractor’s construction accident prevention program to facilitate an accident-free project. Perform any other engineering support duties related to Facility field operations as may be requested by the project COR. Liaise with local authorized as required. Participate in on-site and other meetings and participate in discussions with local/municipal authorities, as appropriate on matters pertaining to construction site activities when requested by the project COR. Prepare or assist with independent government cost estimates for construction change orders or to support U. S. installed equipment. Review and analyze for contractor’s change order proposals for cost and compliance with the change. Prepare cost of alternatives to design and specifications when requested by the project COR. Reports to the project COR the status of project activities and provides recommendations for corrective actions needed and resolve problems. Review As Built drawings and operation and maintenance manuals using Computer Aided Design (CAD). Performs special assignments in the construction, as-built drawings and other related duties as directed by the project COR and the Senior Facility Manager. Qualifications: Prior Work Experience: 3- years’ experience as a professional engineer is required. One year of that experience should be in construction project management and project oversight. Supervisory experience is desired. Language Proficiency: Personnel should be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing Arabic and English and should be able to effectively discuss technical and construction related issues with US Government personnel in both languages. Knowledge: Must have thorough knowledge of construction management and engineering practices, and US and local building codes and requirements. Must have thorough knowledge and understanding of construction procedures, related tools, cost estimates, market research, and building materials. Must be able to do system feasibility studies, and cost estimates. Skills and Abilities: Must have a Professional Engineering License. Must be able to work independently. Computer skills such as CAD 2023, Microsoft Project, Excel & Microsoft Word are required. Must be able to perform all job activities and duties in a responsible manner to avoid the creation of safety or health hazards. Must be able to conform to established safety and health policy and procedures. Must be able to properly utilize appropriate personal protective equipment as required by the job activity.
